Where Does Public Data Come From?

Our records are compiled from many public record sources including but not limited to: white pages information, real property records, death records, magazine subscriptions and voter registration. Record collection for some databases began in the early 1980's so the databases contain many historical records.

While we do our best to protect consumer’s privacy we can not always do so mostly in part due to the fact that information has entered the public domain because of the actions from the consumer themselves. Typically personal and some private information is shared when you; opt in for sales promotions either on-line for through direct mailings, purchase magazine subscriptions, enter sales contests, fill out warranty cards, process mail in rebate offers, etc. Furthermore, consumers data is also public if they have any UCC or Tax liens, filed bankruptcy, own real estate, have been convicted of a crime (misdemeanor or felony), have a professional license, register for voting etc.

We value your privacy and, upon request, can block your records from being shown in many, but not all, of our search results. To do so, you should contact us by writing a letter, signed by you (we do not accept any unsigned requests or substitute service), giving us your:

• First name
• Last name
• Middle initial
• Aliases and A.K.A.'s
• Complete current address
• Complete former addresses going back 20 years
• Date of Birth - including month, day, and year
• It is also very helpful to include a print out of the records that you wish to have suppressed.
